The Good Old Days

This was so fun! Alexis and I were good friends in high school, I pretty much lived at their house my junior year, but I got married, she got married and moved out of state and we pretty much just got old and lost contact. I was lucky enough to find her on facebook right before she came out to Utah for a visit. So we hung out at her parents house just like 'the good old days' and reminisced about high school, boyfriends, and the usual girl talk. It's always fun to find old friends.

He's a Dipper!

This kept him occupied the whole time we were eating, which is pretty awesome. I thought the salsa would be too hot for him but he loved it. He never stopped dipping his chips the whole time. The only time he made a peep was when he needed a new chip. He loves Los Hermanos chips and salsa-he's definitely my kid!!! He loves to do this with chicken and fries to.

Cooper's first haircut

Cooper doesn't have much hair but it was getting just long enough in the back that he needed a haircut so he didn't start looking like Joe Dirt. I have only attempted one other haircut and it was on Justin. Lets just say I will never give him a haircut again, but since Cooper just needed a little buzz in the back I figured I could do it. I thought he would freak out when we turned the buzzer on but he didn't make a peep! He just kept trying to turn around so he could see what was going on. It turned out pretty good actually. It wasn't much but it still makes him seem so much older. I saved every hair I could to put in his scrapbook-that I have yet to start =/

Best Buds

This pretty much speaks for itself=)

This is how we roll

This is how we vacuum now! He loves the vaacuum and would always follow me around so one day I stood him on it while I was vacuuming and everytime I would get him down he'd get right back on. It's a great ride for him and a pretty good workout for me (sad huh?)

Big Kid!

Wow! I can't believe he's big enough to be in this carseat! There's part of me that's sad he's never going to be little again but it is so much fun to watch him grow up and experience new things. I don't think he knew what to do at firt. He wanted to play with the steering wheel. Everytime I looked back during his first ride in it I couldn't help but laugh.

Cousins

Cooper loved it when this carseat was in the house. He would spend hours (ok maybe just minutes but that's longer than usual) playing in it! He would throw his toys in it, get in and throw them out, jump up and land on his little bum. Sadie came over and this was one of the rare moments that they weren't pulling each other's hair and wrestling to be the first one in. They're going to be good friends.

This was kind of mean of me because I hurried and took a picture before helping him out but it was so funny I couldn't help it. Cooper dropped something under his walker and stood up underneath it and couldn't get out! He was ANGRY as you can see in the second picture! Still cute though!

Splish Splash!

Cooper loves to swim to we signed up for some Mom & Me swimming lessons, which is actually just an excuse to get out of the house and play a little. We are taking them with my aunt Mandi and her daughter Sadie (almost 2), and my friend Jackie and her son Gavin (8 mos). Maybe some day he will actually be able to learn some of the things they're learning like floating on their back and stomach, but for now it's a big bath tub that he can splash in!

Cooper in his swimmy diaper. I forgot one so I had to borrow Sadie's. I just loved how nerdy he looked because they are pretty much up to his armpits=)

Finally!

Alright, for anyone that checks our blog on a regular basis you have probably noticed that it has been changing quite a bit. Every background that I have tried just wasn't quite 'us' you know? So, while Justin was out of town and Cooper was sleeping I was determined to find a background that I liked, which if you knew how slow our computer was, is no small feat! So, I think I looked at just about all 175 pages of layouts on Pyzam but I finally found this one. Now whenever I look at it I smile. So, there you go. I don't think you'll see it changing again, whew!!

Innocent until proven guilty-right?

This is usually what happens while I am doing my hair! Doesn't he have the most innocent and mischevious face all in one? I just can't help but love him

'Elipticizing'

Alright, we have 3 bedrooms in our condo and they used to be office/spare bed, workout room, and our bedroom. When we had Cooper we had to combine workout room and office so needless to say it was cramped quarters in that room! We always leave the door shut because I hate clutter and that was what it felt like so I finally decluttered and started to leave the door open because it made our condo seem so much bigger. One day I was doing something and went to find Cooper. The first picture was exactly what he was doing when I walked in the room, he had the biggest smile on his face! He was just standing there with no hands! I didn't even know he was able to get up there. So, needless to say this was his first experience exercising.
Justin works on exercise equipment and he hates it when people call it elipticizing so I thought I would add that in!

Oh Baby

This is Cooper's fauxhawk. He doesn't have a ton of hair but he finally has enough to spike up a little. My favorite thing to do though is this. It only stays in for an hour, maybe two but it's still fun. As long as he doesn't grow up to be a real punk, then we're good.
Sorry it's kind of hard to see because of the dark background!

From jibber jabber to who is it?!

Cooper is learning to talk! I guess this may be a pretty normal thing but when it is your own baby, especially your first, you just can't believe it when they finally start spitting out real words! Whenever the phone rings or if Cooper is playing with it I always say, "Who is it?" and last week he picked up my cell phone and started to say, "who is it"! It sounded more like whosit but it was pretty cute. And I have witnesses to, I'm not making it up. He loves animals and Justin's cousin has a black lab that he was playing with at his grandma's house. We kept telling the dog to sit so that Cooper could pet it so when it started to move Cooper said, "Sit!" It was so cute. Today he also said Duck for the first time while I was giving him a bath. 3 new words in less than a week. He has been pointing at things once in awhile but the past week or two he has started doing it alot. He now will point at things he wants or if we say, "where's...?" It's pretty fun.
